The Improving Access to Home Dialysis Act will help more patients make use of home dialysis at a time when the need for it couldn’t be clearer. Even before COVID-19, we knew that home dialysis can improve a patient’s quality of life, result in fewer hospitalizations, and help patients better maintain employment and schedule flexibility. It’s also a great way for patients to lower their risk of exposure to contagious disease by eliminating the need to travel to and from and spend time in dialysis clinics.
