Tell Congress to Give Living Organ Donors the Financial Assistance They Deserve

For many would-be living organ donors, financial questions can loom large. Travel, caregiving, and lost wages from time off work can all add up and tip the scales when someone is considering whether to give the gift of life to help one of the almost 100,000 kidney patients on the transplant waitlist.

Legislation introduced in Congress would help tip those scales back in the right direction, and directly lead to more people becoming living organ donors. The Honor Our Living Donors (HOLD) Act would help more donors qualify for reimbursement when it comes to wages, travel, and caregiving, and is a critical step forward in our ongoing campaign for Transplants for All. Take action now to urge your federal representative to support this bill and ensure more donors have the financial freedom to give the gift of life.
