The Improving Access to Home Dialysis Act (H.R. 8075) will help more patients access home dialysis. We know that home dialysis can improve a patient’s quality of life, result in fewer hospitalizations, and help patients maintain employment. It also improves patient lifestyle flexibility by eliminating the need to travel to and from dialysis clinics.
Unfortunately many patients are not offered the option of home dialysis, and several barriers exist such as long wait times, overburdened staff, and lack of in-home assistance. This legislation will remove these barriers so that more patients can have real options when it comes to dialysis.
Ask your Representative to help more patients access home dialysis.
