As Congress gets closer to finalizing a funding bill for next year, it’s critical that lawmakers keep hearing from kidney advocates like you. Federal funds for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) programs haven’t kept pace with inflation, and more Americans than ever are at risk of developing kidney disease as a result.
Fortunately the House of Representatives passed funding legislation earlier this year that will help change that. With increases in funds for awareness, education, and research programs, it’s clear that our calls for a comprehensive CKD public health strategy are being heard. Now we need the House and Senate to come together and pass a final bill that keeps those increases and starts to address these serious challenges: Send a message now urging your lawmakers to support kidney health.
Please take a moment to personalize your letter with your kidney disease story to make your letter even more impactful!
