Support Massachusetts's Living Donor Protection Act (MA H. 1000)

The Massachusetts state House of Representatives introduced the Living Donor Protection Act (H. 1000) to help living organ donors avoid facing discrimination from life, long-term care, or disability insurance providers. With 32 other states already having passed versions of this legislation, we need to ask the full House and Senate to vote on and pass this bill!

This legislation would ensure that life, long-term care, or disability insurers will not discriminate against living organ donors through policy conditions, acceptance, or pricing based solely on the person’s status as a living organ donor.

The National Kidney Foundation, organ donors and kidney patients across the state need you to help us pass this legislation. Please write your state Representative and ask them to support this legislation to protect organ donors.
